The Delaware & Allegheny RR is a freelanced carrier running across north central PA. It fills a space about 28’ by 18’ with a single track mainline, one main yard, one secondary yard and several industries scattered along the route. The year is 1969, letting Joe use both first and second generation diesels from EMD and ALCO. Freight traffic includes thru freights, local freights and coal trains. Passenger service consists of a mail and express local and the Nittany Lion, a thru train from New York to DuBois, PA.
